L'attività di ricerca di Antonio Pauciullo riguarda principalmente lo sviluppo di algoritmi di rivelazione e stima per la localizzazione ed il monitoraggio di scatteratori, sia concentrati, sia distribuiti, nel contesto dell'elaborazione tomografica dei dati SAR.

Antonio Pauciullo è nato a Cercola (NA) il 10.10.1969. Ha conseguito la maturità scientifica nel 1988 e nel gennaio del 1998 si è laureato con lode in Ingegneria Elettronica presso
l'Università di Napoli ``Federico II''. Nel 2003 ha conseguito il PhD in Ingegneria  dell'informazione presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettronica e  delle Telecomunicazioni della stessa Università.
Dopo una breve esperienza lavorativa nell'ambito dell'Information Technology in qualità di Network Manager and Designer, presso l'INTELTEC S.p.A di Napoli (1998-2000), nel 2000 ha vinto il concorso di Dottorato di Ricerca in Ingegneria dell'Informazione presso  il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettronica e delle Telecomunicazioni dell' Università di Napoli ``Federico II'', dove ha conseguito il PhD nel marzo del 2003.
Nel dicembre del 2001 è risultato vincitore del concorso come Ricercatore presso l'Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell'Ambiente (IREA) del CNR, Napoli, dove ad oggi svolge la sua attività di ricerca.
L'attività scientifica svolta durante il dottorato di ricerca ha riguardato principalmente l'analisi e la sintesi di ricevitori per sistemi CDMA multirate su canali con fading, e si è conclusa
con la tesi dal titolo: ``Adaptive Receivers for Multirate DS/CDMA Systems''.
Successivamente la sua attività si è spostata nell'ambito del telerilevamento a microonde mediante
tecnologia SAR, e tuttora riguarda principalmente lo studio di tecniche interferometriche multi-acquisizione. Per entrambe le problematiche, l'attività di ricerca svolta trova riscontro in pubblicazioni scientifiche, sia su riviste che su atti di Congressi internazionali.

Dall'anno 2002 è docente a contratto presso l'Università degli Studi di Cassino, dove ha tenuto i seguenti corsi:

• A.A. 2002/03: Comunicazioni Elettriche per Elettrici; modulo integrativo al corso di Trasmissione Numerica.
• A.A. 2003/04 all' A.A. 2005/06: Teoria dei Segnali (corso di laurea di primo livello in ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni).
• Dall' A.A. 2003/04 all' A.A. 2007/08: Elaborazione Numerica dei Segnali II (corso di laurea specialistica in ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni).
• A.A. 2008/09: Comunicazioni Elettriche(corso di laurea di primo livello in ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni);
• Dall' A.A. 2009 ad oggi: Sistemi di Telecomunicazioni (corso di laurea magistrale in ingegneria delle telecomunicazioni).
