Attività
ITA - L'attività di ricerca di Pietro Alessandro Brivio è focalizzata sul telerilevamento ottico (dal visibile all’infrarosso termico) da aereo e da satellite per lo studio dell’ambiente e del territorio coprendo sia le tematiche di acquisizione e calibrazione del dato radiometrico, sia quelle di analisi e interpretazione dei dati. I settori di applicazione vanno dalla scala locale (mappe di copertura, incendi, …) alla scala regionale e continentale per lo studio dello stato del'ambiente e delle risorse naturali mediante lo sviluppo e applicazione di indicatori sintetici con particolare riguardo all' Africa. A partire dal dicembre 2004 fino al dicembre 2015 Pietro Alessandro Brivio è stato Responsabile di CNR-IREA Unità Organizzativa di Supporto (UOS) di Milano. Dal 2010 è Dirigente di Ricerca. ENG - The research of Pietro Alessandro Brivio has focused on several areas in the Optical Remote Sensing, from Visible to the Thermal Infrared, both from aerial and space platforms for studying and monitoring land and environment. His activities covered all the aspects of remote sensing techniques from data acquisition and radiometric calibration to data analysis and interpretation. Application fields cover local scale mapping (land cover, forest fires and burned areas, …) and regional and continental scale monitoring trough the development of synthetic indicators of the state of the environment and natural resources monitoring, with main interest in Africa. From December 2004 to December 2015 Pietro Alessandro Brivio has been head of CNR-IREA research unit in Milan. Since 2010 he is Research Director. |

Pietro Alessandro Brivio - Laureato con lode in Fisica (1975, Milano), nel 1982 assunto al CNR come Ricercatore, dal 2001 Primo Ricercatore e dal 2010 Dirigente di Ricerca.
Dal dicembre 2004 al dicembre 2015 è stato Responsabile di IREA UOS-Milano.
Attivo nel Telerilevamento Ottico da aereo e da satellite per il monitoraggio del territorio e dello stato dell'ambiente, con competenze che vanno dall’analisi radiometrica all’interpretazione automatica delle immagini per applicazioni a scala locale e continentale. Responsabile in progetti nazionali (Min-Ambiente, ASI, aziende) e internazionali (EU, ESA, NASA) fra cui GeoLand (FP6, 2004-2006) OLF-Observatory for Land Cover and Forest Change in Africa e GeoLand-2 (FP7, 2008-2012) NARMA-Natural Resource Monitoring in Africa. Autore di numerose pubblicazioni in riviste ISI e congressi internazionali. Editor di Special Issues: Pattern Recognition Letters, 1996 17(13) e Int. J. of Remote Sensing, 2003 24(20). Visiting Scientist (1996-1997) all’Inst. for Remote Sensing Applications, JRC-EU (Ispra). Visiting Scientist (giu-ago 2014) al College of Natural Resources, University of Idaho (USA). Professore incaricato di Telerilevamento (1997- 2005) al Politecnico di Milano, Ingegneria per l’Ambiente e il Territorio, Polo di Como. Senior Member IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society e membro di GOFC-GOLD Fire Implementation Team. Nel 2013 ha conseguito l’abilitazione scientifica a professore di I fascia nel settore 08/A4-Geomatica. |
