Attività di indagine e ricerca sulla comunicazione del Centro di Ricerca della Fondazione Tettamanti in prospettiva della realizzazione di un sito web istituzionale che ne valorizzi in particolare la componente scientifica. Il progetto ha previsto le seguenti attività: indagine qualitativa sullo stato della comunicazione - interna ed esterna - del Centro tramite interviste individuali e di gruppo su un campione di soggetti reali e potenziali del Centro di ricerca; analisi dei bisogni del Centro in merito ad una comunicazione via web; indagine quantitativa tramite questionario online sulle abitudini di uso di Internet e degli strumenti informatici da parte dei soggetti del Centro; ricognizione e analisi comparata di siti web che presentano caratteristiche analoghe al Centro; assistenza alla elaborazione di una traccia strutturata dei contenuti del sito web del Centro con logiche di navigazione.

Le attività vengono svolte nell'ambito di una convenzione quinquennale tra il Dipartimento di Protezione Civile (DPC) della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri e l’Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell’Ambiente (IREA) del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR). Tale convenzione ha come obiettivo generale lo sviluppo di metodologie per l’elaborazione di dati telerilevati Radar ad Apertura Sintetica (SAR) e la generazione di prodotti pre-operativi finalizzati alla valutazione delle deformazioni superficiali, con particolare enfasi data alle tecniche di Interferometria SAR Differenziale (DInSAR). Inoltre, è stato anche previsto un contributo focalizzato sullo sviluppo e sulle applicazioni di sensori distribuiti in fibra ottica per misure in situ di deformazione e temperatura, a integrazione dei dati SAR.

Obiettivo del progetto e' la realizzazione di un sistema prototipale che operi nella regione Lombardia per il monitoraggio multi-scala dei parametri ambientali, quali la concentrazione di costituenti atmosferici alla superficie (gas e aerosol) in ambito urbano e non, le componenti naturali e antropiche degli aerosol, le dispersioni termiche in ambito urbano, gli effetti climatici diretti degli aerosol naturali e antropici (forzatura diretta). Il sistema servirà alla comprensione dei processi meteo-climatici a scala regionale indotti dalle attività antropiche, attraverso la realizzazione di moduli preposti alle valutazioni degli effetti dell’inquinamento atmosferico (gas e aerosol) su scala regionale e su ambienti scarsamente antropizzati come laghi e ghiacciai, della dispersione energetica su scala urbana, degli effetti diretti degli aerosol sul bilancio di radiazione del sistema superficie-atmosfera alla scala regionale e della interazione di scenari emissivi di inquinanti atmosferici ed energetici in ambiente urbano, mediante l’integrazione di osservazioni multi-sorgente da sensori a terra, su aeromobile e satellite ed attraverso l’impiego di modelli che considerino la meteorologia, il trasporto e la dispersione e la chimica degli inquinanti e la loro interazione con gli aspetti radiativi.

L’attività ha riguardato lo sviluppo e la sperimentazione di un sensore distribuito in fibra ottica basato sul fenomeno di scattering di Brillouin per il monitoraggio della temperatura in applicazioni ferroviarie. In particolare è stata verificata la possibilità di monitorare la temperatura dei binari su distanze di 5 Km con una risoluzione spaziale di un metro.
